Nicole M. Pardus Named Chair of Young Lawyers Division and Elected to Membership Committee

Attorney Nicole M. Pardus of Long & Long, LLC has assumed the position of Chair of the Westmoreland Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She was also elected to the WBA Membership Committee at the 2022 Annual Meeting on April 4th.

The mission of the Westmoreland Bar Association is “to continue a long-standing tradition of fostering excellence in professional service by our members to their clients and to the general community while engendering respect, civility and camaraderie among the members of the Bench and Bar.” Nicole seeks to uphold this mission in her new roles by continuing to mentor young lawyers and helping to provide opportunities for them to play active roles within the WBA. Thus, fostering a sense of camaraderie through educational, social and community events. She has previously served as Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Young Lawyers Division.

As part of the Membership Committee, Nicole will be one of the first points of contact at the WBA for membership applicants. Her duties include personally interviewing and educating applicants on the workings of the WBA, including committee assignments, staff responsibilities, and new lawyer opportunities such as the mentor program, the Young Lawyers Division, and reduced fees. Additionally, she will make recommendations for participant and associate membership eligibility. She will hold this position for a five-year term.

Nicole also currently holds the position of Treasurer of Laurel Legal Services and was recognized on the 2021 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. She focuses her practice on estate planning and estate administration, real estate law and civil litigation.
