Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation department held the annual “March for Parks” fundraiser on March 24th, 2018, in order to raise financial support for improvements and expansions to the parks in Westmoreland County. Long & Long was proud to help sponsor the march. Adam and Wes Long further showed their support by marching in the event joined by their wives, and two future Long & Long lawyers. Part of the funds raised will go towards expanding the Westmoreland Heritage Trail from Murrysville to Export, which will be an addition of 3.4 miles.
While Long & Long main office is located in Greensburg, the Long family is deeply rooted in Export as well. Of Counsel, B. Earnest “Ernie” Long was born and raised in Export, and served as the borough’s solicitor for over 20 years, a position now held by his son, Wes. In 1962 Ernie opened a night office there for his clients’ convenience. That office remains open and clients are welcome to come in Monday and Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
