B. Earnest Long is Of Counsel with the firm of Long & Long, LLC. B. Earnest’s practice focuses in litigation, estate planning including wills and trusts, and real estate. Additionally, B. Earnest advises on numerous local government matters, having been the solicitor for several local school boards and municipalities. B. One of Westmoreland County’s best and most respected trial attorneys, B. Earnest has tried countless jury trials and been awarded numerous verdicts, including one that was at that point the largest in Westmoreland County history. In addition, he is a founding member of the Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers and a past president of the Westmoreland County Bar Association. In 2008, the Pennsylvania Bar Association recognized his dedicated service as a 50-year member of that organization.
A 1957 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, B. Earnest was a solo practitioner until 1964, when he co-founded the firm of Robinson, Fisher and Long, later Fisher, Long & Rigone. In 1962 he opened a night office in Export for his clients' convenience. The firm recently celebrated that office’s 50th anniversary.
B. Earnest grew up in Export and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951 before serving from 1952-1954 in the United States Army during the Korean War.
B. Earnest splits his time between his local residence and his home in Smethport, where he lives with his wife, Pat. He currently advises both his son and grandson on numerous issues, making Long & Long, LLC the only firm in Westmoreland County currently offering three generations of experience.
